Japan-Hong Kong Interactions and Collaborations in Popular Culture

Since its founding in 1967, the Department of Japanese Studies has been dedicated to exploring the historical and contemporary relationships between Japan, Hong Kong, and China.

Giving back to society through our knowledge and effective communication is one of our missions. Take a closer look at our vision and projects, and learn about our educational and research initiatives.

Our faculty members publish widely in international journals in English, Japanese, and Chinese, and actively present papers in international conferences around the world.

We engage with people and institutions in the quest to promote cultural understanding, delve more deeply into what Japan and Hong Kong share in common, and spark a new wave of cross-cultural exchange.

CONFERENCES &
WORKSHOPS
